Is it possible to rent a transporter without a deposit?
No. It is required to block a deposit when collecting a transporter. The amount is always outlined in the Terms and Conditions of the respective offer. The same rule applies to bookings with a refundable deductible.
Is it possible to travel abroad with a transporter?
In most cases - yes. Cross-border with a transporter is often allowed, however, there might be certain restrictions. Before booking an offer, make sure to read the Terms and Conditions which outline the countries you can travel to, the price for this service, and other regulations. The majority of car rental companies will expect you to return a transporter in the same country as you collected it.
Is it possible to return a transporter to a different location?
Yes! One way rentals are favored especially when moving from one city to another. One-way rentals with transporters are allowed mostly within one country.
Are there any mileage restrictions when renting a transporter?
Yes. There are not many car rental companies that allow unlimited free mileage for transporters. Mostly, there is a daily mileage restriction which is always outlined in the Terms and Conditions of the respective offer. Do not worry if your daily route exceeds the mileage allowed - you can drive more but at a certain fee.
How big are the transporters?
The classification of a rental car is based on a code of four letters. The so-called ACRISS code determines which vehicle you are to receive on-site. The first letter of the ACRISS code determines the size of the car. Transporters are classified based on capacity in cubic meters, lifting platform, and/or additional features as per the table below:

Which insurance package fully covers the transporter?
The most important insurances for your transporter are the CDW, Theft, and Third Party Liability insurance. There are differences in these insurances, depending on the selected offer, the provider, and the actual country in which the rental takes place.

Which type of license is needed to rent and drive a transporter?
- Transporter up to 3,5 tons - Driving license category B
- Transporter from 3,5 tons to 7,5 tons - Driving license category C
Also, make sure you are acquainted with the local regulations, as in some countries in Europe, it is forbidden to drive a truck on Sundays.
Are there any age restrictions when renting a transporter?
Age restrictions depend strictly on the country of rental and the car rental company itself. However, in most cases, the main driver needs to be 21 or older, and have had a driving license for min. 12 months.
