Via HAPPYCAR, it is generally not possible to book a rental car without a credit card. To pick up the rental car at the local rental company, a credit card issued in the name of the main driver is required to block the deposit.

Which cards are accepted to pay for the booking?
VISA and Mastercard are always accepted to pay for the booking at HAPPYCAR. American Express is accepted by all providers except CarHireMarket.
Which credit cards are accepted for the deposit?
This differs per supplier and car rental offer. In the terms & conditions of the respective offer you will find which credit cards or other payment methods are accepted by the local car rental company to leave the deposit.
Attention: Cash payments, Prepaid, Debit, Electron, Diners Club and virtual cards are generally not accepted for the deposit block because they are not able to mark the amount for the deposit. Classic credit cards, on the other hand, immediately block off the necessary amount, which is only debited if it is actually needed. With the credit card and the deposit, the rental car owner ensures that the property - i.e., the rental car - is protected and that any excess costs of the renter can be paid immediately in case of damage.
Which providers waive the credit card for the deposit?
Only with Sunny Cars, you can - depending on the final car rental company, its location (e.g., airport), and the destination country - book a rental car without a credit card and pay the deposit in cash or with a debit card. Please contact us for further information.
Is it possible to use someone else’s credit card?
It is not possible to use a credit card from someone else (including your spouse or another family member). A credit card issued in the name of the main driver is required to block the deposit at the local rental desk
