How does booking “on request” work?

What does it mean when a booking is on request? 

Not every booking can be automatically confirmed. Some offers are on request due to high demand or specific requirements such as a special category or size. Sometimes even the location plays a huge role as well as the car rental limitations. The status “pending” outlines that the request has been made to the provider. 

 

How long does it take to receive a confirmation ?

Usually, the provider can take  up to 72 hours to confirm your booking. Sometimes it can also take a little longer depending on the conditions of the request. However, most of the bookings get confirmed within hours after they are placed. 

As soon as the booking gets confirmed, we will send you the rental car voucher. This confirmation needs to be printed and shown at the pick up location together with some additional pick-up documents to collect the rental car.

Attention: Always read the voucher as soon as you receive it. It is important to check if all the details on it are correct . If any detail is wrong on the voucher, the sooner you contact us, the easier it is for our team to support you. 

 

Why does it take long to confirm the booking?

This will always depend on different factors such as the season, the type of car you need, the location etc. Most of the bookings get confirmed very quickly by our providers. If you are able to be flexible with your rental, there are some tips our customer service team can provide you to find the best option for you. 

For instance, the locations at the airport have a bigger fleet and hence tend to have more cars available and sometimes the offers are also cheaper.
