Every booking starts as a booking request. When the status of a booking says “Pending”, then the request has been made to the provider. The booking can be pending for up to 72 hours until we receive the booking confirmation from the provider. When the booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation by email.
What does it mean when your booking is on request?
Not every booking can be automatically completed. Some bookings have specific requirements like a specific van size or a particular model. We must first confirm that this specific model is available for the selected time period. Sometimes last-minute bookings are possible only on request. In these cases, we need to clarify how quickly a car is available at that rental location.
How long does it take to confirm a car?
Usually, it takes up to a maximum of 72 hours to confirm.
Tip: receiving an email voucher means the booking is confirmed.
How can I speed up my confirmation?
If you are not booking a specific car and do not have special needs, you should quickly receive confirmation. If your booking is very last-minute, please contact us by phone. We can give you tips on which providers confirm quickly and which require additional time.
What makes the confirmation take longer to process?
If your request is very specific it may take longer to book. The process can also take longer if there are a large number of inquiries at the same time or if there are limitations on the particular vehicle type or model of your request.
The request confirmation took too long, and I received another offer. Can I get a refund?
It depends on the terms of the provider you booked. In general, you should wait for confirmation to not incur additional costs. In urgent cases, please contact HAPPYCAR or the provider before booking another vehicle.
