If a flight number is provided during the booking process, the local rental company will know about the arrival time or any possible delays.
In case your flight has a delay of 30 to 60 minutes, some rental companies will wait for you. However, if the waiting time is longer and hence extends the so-called grace period, the rental car might be rented out to someone else.
Rental companies in Canada and the USA are generally a bit more accommodating, sometimes waiting up to 12-24 hours.
Nevertheless, please be aware that it is your responsibility to provide the correct flight number either during the booking process or afterwards to the HAPPYCAR customer support team that will forward it to the rental company.
If no flight number is entered, and there is a delay in the pickup, the rental car supplier may not hold the vehicle for you. In this case, a refund of the rental price cannot be guaranteed.
If a flight has a delay, is canceled at short notice and/or the flight number changes, it must immediately be reported, best via phone, to the local rental car company. You will find the contact details of the local rental company in your voucher.
