If you have planned a vacation but for whatever reason need to postpone it, or change a main driver, you can easily do it with HAPPYCAR.
For modifications, you can contact our customer service ideally via e-mail, so that all changes can be recorded in writing, or give us a call. Do not wait with your modification request until the last moment, as most of the last-minute modifications (less than 48 hours before the pick-up) cannot be guaranteed.
Until when can I change my reservation?
You can change your booking up to 48 hours before the pick-up time. Modifications within the cancellation period, that is last-minute changes (less than 48 hours before the pick-up) cannot be guaranteed.
How can I modify my booking?

Can I change the rental period or location?
Yes, you can. Please make sure that you reach out to our customer support team in advance. We will try to modify your booking with the provider of your booking. Before that, we will inform you about possible additional costs.
Note: If you are unable to collect or return the rental car within a period of 15 to 30 minutes around the scheduled time, a change should be made to the rental dates.
Can I change the class of the rental car?
Yes, you can. If you reach out to our customer support team in advance, we will inform you about your options and possible additional costs. If you decide to change the rental car spontaneously during your rental, or you do not feel comfortable driving it, please contact your car rental company directly.
Can I change the main driver of the rental car?
Yes, you can. This can be done only up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up time. Such a change is almost never possible at the rental desk. The new main driver needs to have a valid credit card upon the collection of the car to block deposit, ID or passport and a valid driving license. Contact our customer support team to learn more about your options.
Can I spontaneously extend or shorten my rental period
Spontaneous changes (during the rental) are possible only when you contact the local supplier. In general, the rental extension is never a problem if the car is still available after your booked period. Please note that the price for extra days will be charged by the local supplier depending on the agreement and their terms and conditions.
If you want to return your rental car earlier than planned, the initial rental price will not change. That means, no refund is due back for unused days.
How much does it cost to change a reservation?
HAPPYCAR will not charge you for modifying your booking. Modification itself, however, may incur additional costs due to daily price changes. There is no fixed fee for it.
Usually, the rental prices increase closer to the pick-up date. It means that even though you shorten your rental, the price may remain the same, or sometimes even will increase. The same applies to the change of the main driver or car category.
Can I modify my booking to any offer on your website?
It depends. Please note that you can modify your existing booking within the services of the same provider. If you saw a better offer than the one you have already booked, contact our customer support team to check your options.
It might be the case that the other car is offered by another rental provider, and therefore your booking cannot be changed to the offer you are interested in. In such a situation, we will try to find the most similar offer available from your provider.
