Important facts described briefly below:
The payment of your rental car is mainly done via a credit card. Please note that upon collection of the car you always need to have a regular credit card (ideally Visa or MasterCard) to pay the deposit. The credit card must be issued in the name of the main driver.

How can I pay for the booking?
Ideally, using a credit card.
Note: Most of the providers accept other payment methods, such as prepaid cards and debit cards. However, at the latest, upon the collection of the car, you will need to present a valid credit card issued to the main driver.
Can I book my rental car without a credit card?
No. A valid credit card issued to the main driver is required to block deposit upon collection of the car. You can use another card for a payment at HAPPYCAR website, though. To read more about rentals without a credit card, please check the dedicated article.
Which credit cards are accepted?
The credit card must meet the following requirements:
- Issued to the main driver (initials are usually not accepted)
- The card must be valid for at least next 6 months
- The card must have a limit high enough to pay for a booking and block deposit
- Internationally recognized credit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard or American Express
Note: The payment for the booking and blocking deposit at the time of pick-up are two different transactions. For instance, although your American Express credit card is accepted as a form of payment, it can be rejected for the deposit. Always check terms and conditions of the respective offer.
When do I need to pay for the booking?
The time of a payment depends on the provider of your booking. Below you will find the table with a brief overview:
* the currency depends on the entered place of residency
** split payment is outlined on the rental voucher
